English, Maths and Science Home Tutors

Location: Greenwich & Lewisham

TeacherActive is currently recruiting Tutors to support the learning and development of children requiring home tutoring. We are committed to closing the attainment gap for children outside of formal schooling.

We work with children services to enable Looked After Children to make progress in line with their non-looked after peers. Our tutors provide learning assistance for young people preparing for exams or re-adjusting to mainstream education.

Position Overview:

We are seeking tutors for home tuition and school-based support, focusing on delivering core skills in English, Maths, and Science.

Skills and Experience:

1. Teachers for all subjects required, with a particular focus on English, Maths, and Science.
2. Understanding and appreciation of working with vulnerable young people in the care system and those with SEN.
3. Knowledge of positive behaviour strategies and experience in helping children self-regulate emotions.
4. Valid Enhanced DBS check.
5. Excellent written communication and reporting skills.
6. Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
