Position: SEN Tutor
Locations: Banbury, Bicester, Witney, Chipping Norton (and surrounding areas)
Rate: £20–£25 per hour
Employment Type: Part-Time/Flexible

Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs? We are looking for dedicated, compassionate, and experienced SEN Tutors to join our team across North Oxfordshire, including Banbury, Bicester, Witney, and Chipping Norton.

About the Role:

As an SEN Tutor, you will provide tailored, one-to-one or small group support to students with a range of learning needs, including:

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties
  • Social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs

You will play a vital role in helping students build confidence, develop essential skills, and achieve their academic goals in a supportive, flexible environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver personalised lessons to meet individual learning needs.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support a variety of SEN profiles effectively.
  • Foster a positive, nurturing learning environment to boost student engagement and self-esteem.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and professionals to monitor progress and adjust support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, dyslexia).
  • Strong subject knowledge in core academic areas (English, Maths, Science, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, patience, and empathy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Teaching qualifications (e.g., QTS, HLTA) are desirable but not essential if you have relevant SEN experience.
