The school caters to students aged 11-16, who have moderate to severe learning and behaviour needs, including complex communication needs and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

The school is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where each student is given the tools and encouragement to succeed academically, socially, and personally. Our dedicated staff work tirelessly to ensure that every student receives the individual support they need to reach their potential, focusing on preparing students for a successful transition into adulthood.

  • Assist in the delivery of lessons tailored to the individual needs of students, including academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Support the classroom teacher in managing student behaviour and maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Promote the personal, social, and academic development of students through a variety of teaching strategies.
  • Help with the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and learning materials.
  • Assist in the monitoring of student progress and contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).

Minimum Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with special educational needs.
  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational or similar setting.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach, with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A Child Enhanced DBS check on the update service (this will be required at the applicant’s own cost).

What We Offer:

  • Competitive hourly rate of £13.75.
  • Paid weekly.
  • Full-time, term-time role.
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Opportunities for professional development and training.
  • A fulfilling role where you can make a positive impact on the lives of young people.

If you are passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and are looking for a rewarding and impactful role in a dynamic and supportive environment, we would love to hear from you. Please apply now, and our team will be in touch with shortlisted candidates.
