SEN Teaching Assistant – Chelmsford, Essex (Education and Training)

Are you passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

Do you want to work alongside trained therapists, counsellors, and psychologists, gaining valuable hands-on experience?

A mainstream primary school in Chelmsford is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team this February. This is a full-time role supporting children across Key Stage 1 and 2, working 1:1 and in small groups to provide emotional and behavioral support.

The Role

Position: Mental Health Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Start Date: February 2024
Contract: Full-time, Monday – Friday (8:30 am – 4:00 pm)
Salary: £83 - £100 per day

What You’ll Be Doing
  1. Supporting children with emotional and behavioral challenges

Who We’re Looking For
  1. Ideal for Psychology, Counselling, or Criminology graduates, or those with relevant experience in SEN or mental health
  2. Level 3 qualification or a degree is preferred
  3. Experience working with SEN children or adults (professional or personal experience considered)
