An established industry player is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs in Chelmsford. A mainstream primary school in Chelmsford is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team this February. This is a full-time role supporting children across Key Stage 1 and 2, working 1:1 and in small groups to provide emotional and behavioral support.

The Role

Position: Mental Health Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Start Date: February 2024
Contract: Full-time, Monday – Friday (8:30 am – 4:00 pm)
Salary: £83 - £100 per day

Supporting children with emotional and behavioral challenges
Working 1:1 and in small groups across KS1 & KS2

Gaining hands-on experience with mental health professionals on-site

Who We’re Looking For

Ideal for Psychology, Counselling, or Criminology graduates, or those with relevant experience in SEN or mental health
Level 3 qualification or a degree is preferred
Experience working with SEN children or adults (professional or personal experience considered)
Compassionate, resilient, and eager to learn
