Horizon Care and Education have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant at Aspire Learning in Croydon!

Aspire Learning is an independent school with two sites in Croydon; one Primary site and one Secondary. We provide inspirational, nurture-based specialist SEND education to pupils aged 5 - 11 years old and are now looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team.

About the role:

As a Teaching Assistant at Aspire Learning you will work with a range of young people between ages 5 and 19, and support them to achieve a positive learning outcome, regardless of the challenges they face.

You'll be:

• Assisting students in their educational and social development.
• Providing support inside and outside of the classroom, so they can fully engage in a wide range of activities.
• Helping to set up activities for students, using technology or adjusting the environment to suit their needs.
• Supporting teachers, engaging with students, providing learning support, and reacting to situations in the classroom in a positive, non-disruptive manner.
• Working 1:1 or 2:1 with some students, to give them the time and support they need to learn.
