SEN Teaching Assistant – Empower Students to Succeed!

Location: Middlesbrough
Pay Rate: £84 - £108 per day (Dependent on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: 3 days a week

GSL Education are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Middlesbrough. This role is perfect for someone who wants to help children with diverse learning needs thrive in the classroom and beyond.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  1. Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN.
  2. Assisting with personalised learning plans to help students progress.
  3. Working closely with teachers, staff, and parents to support student development.
  4. Creating a positive and inclusive classroom where every child feels valued.
  5. Tracking and monitoring student progress to help them reach their potential.
  6. Encouraging students to stay motivated, engaged, and confident.
  7. Maintaining accurate records of student development.

What We’re Looking For:

  1. A degree in any subject or relevant qualification.
  2. Experience supporting students, preferably in an SEN setting.
  3. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
  4. Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting students.
  5. An up-to-date CV (covering the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps).
  6. An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
