GSL Education are currently looking to hire an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant for a position at our schools in Swanwick. In this role, you will offer tailored support, encourage a passion for learning, and help drive the academic progress of students in 1-1 and small group settings across various subjects. Your dedication to creating a positive learning environment and supporting students' academic development will play a key role in their well-rounded education.

To excel in SEN Teaching Assistant role, it would be beneficial if you:

  • Have prior experience in a school setting.
  • Have experience working with children or adults with learning difficulties such as ADHD, SEMH, and ASC.
  • Possess a solid understanding of Special Educational Needs or be willing to learn.
  • Can demonstrate a clear understanding of the Teaching Assistant's role in a special needs environment.
  • Are capable of engaging students in their learning and supporting their social, emotional, and personal development.
  • Develop an engaging learning environment that inspires all students to reach their full potential.
  • Advocate for and support the growth and development of each student in your care.

The ideal candidate for SEN Teaching Assistant role should be:

  • Caring and enthusiastic.
  • Resilient and optimistic.
  • Confident in managing challenging behaviour.
  • Show a strong commitment to safeguarding.

To work with GSL Education as a SEN Teaching Assistant, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
