About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with a variety of special educational needs. You will assist the class teacher in delivering inclusive lessons, offer one-to-one support to students, and ensure that all learners have the opportunity to reach their potential in a safe, nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with various special educational needs in both one-to-one and small group settings
• Assist with the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons
• Provide academic support to help students meet their individual learning goals
• Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment
• Help students with personal care and mobility when needed
• Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCO, and other staff members
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher
• Ensure students’ emotional and behavioural needs are met

About You:

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards supporting children with SEN
• Are eager to learn and develop new skills in a classroom environment
• Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Are patient, empathetic, and proactive in supporting student development
• Have excellent communication skills, both with students and staff
• Are flexible, adaptable, and able to work well within a team
• A qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (Level 2 or 3) is beneficial but not essential
