Horizon Care and Education have an exciting opportunity for an SEN Teacher to join our fantastic team at Woodbury School in Wolverhampton. The role involves teaching Primary curriculum to secondary aged students in an SEN/SEMH environment.


We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate educator to join our dedicated team at a trauma-informed school. Our institution is committed to fostering a nurturing environment that supports pupils with a range of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, employing Nurture Primary models to facilitate their educational journey. As a pivotal member of our academic community, the successful candidate will play an essential role in delivering an inclusive and supportive curriculum that caters to the individual needs of all students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND).


Woodbury is dedicated to providing pupils aged 10 to 18 years with a high quality and individualised learning environment. The school provides opportunities to access learning that is tailored to their needs, whilst developing their self-esteem as they reach milestones in our caring and nurturing setting.


Minimum requirements:

  1. QTS or QTLS Qualifications
  2. Have proven teaching and learning experience.
  3. Have up to date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge and experience.

The ideal candidate should:

  1. Be an outstanding classroom practitioner.
  2. Have the energy, passion, and drive to raise standards.
  3. Have initiative, vision, excellent planning, and organisational skills.
  4. Ideally have experience of working with students with SEMH and additional needs.
