Job description

SEN Teacher

Location: East London

Contract: Flexible working

Start date: Summer Term

Pay: £180 - £250 per day

Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm

We are looking for passionate Fully Qualified SEN Teachers to help support schools in Newham, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest and the surrounding boroughs, working with various needs and providing support and interventions.

This is a flexible role; the successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of schools, with the ability to book work that suits their schedule.

Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Support students with varying SEN needs, providing tailored support and interventions based on individual EHCPs.
  2. Plan and deliver effectively differentiated lessons.
  3. Establish constructive relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
  4. Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.

Requirements:
  1. Fully Qualified Teacher - QTS, PGCE or an equivalent qualification.
  2. Currently hold Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one).
  3. Right to Work in the UK.
  4. Experience managing challenging behaviours, adapting approach to individual behaviour support.
  5. Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions as well as experience working with a range of complex needs.
  6. A commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity within the school community.
  7. Leadership experience managing a classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
