Our partner school in Bath is seeking a dedicated graduate to join their team as an SEN Support Assistant. The school caters to children aged 4-11 with complex needs, including autism, sensory processing difficulties, communication challenges, and associated learning needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain practical experience in education and training while working in a highly supportive and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide support and encouragement to help students reach their potential
  2. Foster a calm, structured, and positive environment to reduce anxiety and build pupils' confidence
  3. Learn to roll out specialist interventions to support communication, social interaction, and sensory needs
  4. Assist with challenging behaviours, pastoral support, and personal care
  5. Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to ensure students receive a well-rounded learning experience
  6. Adapt learning materials and resources to suit the individual needs of each student
