Qualifications

Horizon Care and Education have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Music Teacher to join our Team at our Olympus School, based in Croydon.

You will be teaching children aged 11-18 in a specialist SEN and SEMH setting. For this role, we will need you to have the QTS or QTLS qualification.

Minimum requirements:
  1. QTS or QTLS Qualification
  2. Proven teaching and learning experience
  3. Experience Teaching Music
  4. Up to date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge and experience

The ideal candidate should:

  1. Be an outstanding classroom practitioner
  2. Have the energy, passion, and drive to raise standards
  3. Have initiative, vision, excellent planning, and organisational skills
  4. Have experience of working with students with SEMH and additional needs
  5. Have knowledge and understanding of developments in education

Olympus is an independent specialist day school providing high-quality education for boys and girls. Based in South Croydon, the school meets the diverse needs of pupils aged 11-19 with Special Educational Needs (SEN) including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Needs.
