Job description

Smile Education are recruiting for a core subjects teacher with SEN experience to work in an SEMH school near the Great Barr area. The role would be working at a very small school with a tight-knit staff team and SLT support.

The role would be long-term and full-time with the option of turning permanent after the academic year is finished.

The responsibilities of the English teacher role:

  • Plan and deliver captivating core subject lessons to students in line with the curriculum.
  • Focus on creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that helps student engagement and critical thinking.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, offer constructive feedback, and nurture a love for learning will be central to your role.
  • Be able to structure lesson plans for different levels of student needs.

  • A bachelor’s degree in education, English, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or QTS.
