Position: SEN 1:1

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Start Date: April!

Location: Knottingley

About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant on supply, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential support to children with special educational needs across a variety of school settings. Your primary focus will be on offering tailored 1:1 assistance, helping students overcome challenges and achieve their fullest potential. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain diverse experience and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children who need it most.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive personalised attention and care.
  • Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and encouraged.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the holistic development of each student.
  • Monitor and record student progress, celebrating their achievements and identifying areas for further support.
  • Engage in various classroom activities and contribute to the overall positive atmosphere of the school.

About You:

  • You have a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to supporting young learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Adaptability and resilience, thriving in dynamic and varied school settings.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or a relevant qualification in SEN education is desirable but not essential.
