Job description

We are actively recruiting for 2 new job opportunities for accountants from part-qualified to Manager grade, with a long-standing firm of accountants based in Northampton who are large enough to offer great perks and salaries, but small enough to recognise the individual and give you a personalised career path.


The firm is looking to hire a Semi-Senior to Senior Accountant and also an Assistant Manager up to a Manager grade person. Applications are welcomed from anyone with experience from an accountancy firm and the firm can design the job to suit your experience level.

Key Responsibilities for Semi-Senior to Senior Accountant Vacancy:

  1. Manage and oversee a portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality financial reporting and compliance.
  2. Review and finalize accounts, tax computations, and VAT returns prepared by junior team members.
  3. Support and mentor junior staff, including ACA trainees, providing technical guidance and training.
  4. Assist in conducting audits and reviewing financial statements to ensure compliance with regulations (optional).
  5. Liaise with clients to address queries, provide financial insights, and strengthen relationships.
  6. Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities to enhance client services and expand the client base.
  7. Assist in workflow management and process improvement to enhance efficiency within the team.
  8. Work closely with senior managers and partners on strategic projects, business growth, and firm-wide initiatives.
