A well-established accountancy firm based in Altrincham, Trafford, is recruiting for an AAT Qualified Semi Senior Accountant to join their finance team on a full-time, permanent basis. The Altrincham office is one of many offices in this multisite accountancy group seeking a qualified Accounts candidate with three years of hands-on experience in practice who enjoys hands-on, client-facing accounts, VAT, and tax work.

Semi Senior Accountant Job Overview

1. Hands-on bookkeeping, preparing VAT returns
2. Supporting the management team to provide an excellent service to the practice's clients
3. Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
4. Corporation tax computations and returns (occasional personal tax work)
5. Ensuring work is completed on time and to a high standard
6. Building and maintaining excellent relationships with colleagues and clients within the practice

This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Junior, Trainee Accountant, or existing Semi Senior Accountant to take on more complex and varied accounts, VAT, and tax work.

Semi Senior Accountant Job Requirements

1. AAT qualified AATQB with excellent practical experience of bookkeeping, tax, and accounts
2. 3 years UK accountancy practice experience
3. Excellent Xero, Sage, or Iris experience
4. A UK driving license
5. Excellent communication skills

Semi Senior Accountant Salary & Benefits

1. £30,000 - £32,500 dependant on skills and experience
2. Based within a reasonable commute of Altrincham
