Job description

Location: Walsall

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £88.92 - £106 per day

Contract Type: Full-time, ongoing

The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting students with SEMH needs and be proactive, patient, and empathetic. You will be confident in managing challenging behaviours and working with students who may require additional emotional support. Experience in a similar role or a background in special educational needs is highly desirable but not essential.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
  2. Assist with the implementation of EHCPs.
  3. Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being through proactive support.
  4. Support students in overcoming barriers to learning and help to build their confidence.
  5. Assist with the development of social and emotional skills in a safe and supportive environment.
  6. Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive interactions with peers.
