£85-£110 daily rate
Responsibilities of the SEMH HLTA:
Implementing student safeguarding and welfare policies
Assessing, reporting and giving feedback regarding students’ needs and progress
Monitor pupils conduct and behaviour throughout their timetable
Collaborate with SLT to ensure high quality personal care of the students
Promote and encourage independence and personal development
Work with students on a 1:1 and group basis on education programmes
Cooperate with colleagues, professionals and parents with education plans
This role would be well suited to anyone currently working within a school that is looking to progress in their career. The SEMH HLTA position brings the extra responsibility of:
Providing pastoral support to support children with SEMH needs
Delivering interventions and behaviour management strategies
Understanding and assisting the Class teacher’s curriculum and enrichment to plan, prepare and implement different activities
Collaborating with SENCO to tailor students’ education to their individual needs
Mentoring and providing role model guidance to new staff and less experienced TAs
