Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a dedicated SEMH Art Teacher in Wolverhampton to provide personalized support for students with special educational needs and mental health challenges. This role requires a proactive and patient educator who can engage and motivate a diverse range of learners. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of class preparation, including planning and marking, while collaborating with a supportive team experienced in SEND and SEMH education. Job description

First For Education is looking for an SEMH Art Teacher in Wolverhampton to provide tailored support to meet individual learning needs, with a focus on SEND and SEMH students. A proactive and patient approach to teaching, with the ability to engage and motivate students with diverse learning needs. A supportive team with experience in SEND and SEMH education.

What they are looking for:
  1. Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS/QTLS).
  2. Experience teaching.
  3. Degree in Art.
  4. Good classroom and behaviour management.
  5. Extensive knowledge of the current curriculum.
  6. Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  7. You will be required to do all planning, marking and preparation for the classes you are responsible for as well as attending school meetings and parent's evening.

All our staff, including classroom supply teachers who register with us, must hold a valid, enhanced disclosure. We can cross-check a current one through the DBS update service or you must apply for a new one. We can help with that.

All new staff are interviewed by an FFE consultant.
