On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit someone as a Security Vetting Administrator for 12 months. As the Security Vetting Administrator, you will join a critical business area that supports the management of security-vetted personnel to work within the organisation. You and the team will be the first layer of security in ensuring any personnel risks are identified and managed. In addition, you will be required to administratively support the Personnel Security Manager and team in the successful implementation of the Vetting Strategy.
Role: Security Vetting Administrator
Pay: Up to £20 per hour via Umbrella
Contract: Monday- Friday, 37 Hours per week, 12-month contract
Location: Stevenage or Bolton
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS, SC requires
Requirements
- You will be part of a highly motivated and progressive security team.
- Part of a wider support mechanism that enables us to conduct our business.
- Your role will principally look to complete and record accurately all right to work and identity checks to ensure potential candidates have the necessary documentation and rights in place to work in the UK.
- Inputting in a timely and accurately manner, data into a 3rd party provider portal to minimise delays in completion of clearances.
- Support the team in obtaining BPSS and National Security Vetting clearances for new and existing employees.
- Support the team in achieving its objectives and reducing risk to the organisation.
- Be point of contact for vetting issues/problems.
- Liaise with UKSV and other internal and external agencies when appropriate.
- Monitor external IT platform to obtain and update security clearances.

- Excellent administrative, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Customer service experience.
- Excellent work ethic, motivated and enthusiastic.
- Professional meticulous approach with focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team and within the wider security department.
- Able to work under pressure and prioritise work as required.
- IT competent, organised and willing to learn new systems.
- 'Can do' positive attitude in supporting the team.
- Able to act in the strictest of confidence with personal sensitive data - integrity is paramount.
- Must be able to obtain national security vetting and BPSS.
- Ability to challenge, negotiate and problem solve when required.
- Willingness to learn new standards and processes to apply best practice security.
