Security Specialist I&A

As a Security Specialist, Information & Analysis, you will undertake collection and processing of information & analysis on Europe, West and Central Africa and Maghreb & Sahel to provide timely security assessments and advice to International SOS’ clients and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

1. Collect and process security information through all-source research, processing and analysis ensuring up to date, relevant and reflective of the current situation.
2. Alert clients and internal stakeholders of relevant high-impact, time-sensitive security events.
3. Collaborate extensively with the Content Services professional community of researchers, multimedia specialists and editors to deliver a shared vision of audience-centric and multimedia digital production.
4. Report and escalate security or disruption issues affecting clients in line with reporting guidance and thresholds.
5. Conduct research into specific security-related questions in order to maintain operational planning and readiness.
6. Deliver safety and security training and workshops as well as engaging in client specific security intelligence consultancy tasks as required.

About you

As a Security Specialist Information & Analysis you will need:

1. Proven experience in security intelligence / related field: academic studies, military, government, NGO, or journalism.
2. Experience handling geo-political analysis.
3. International work experience is an advantage.
4. Ability to critically analyse multiple streams of information under time pressure.
5. Degree or relevant professional training in a field related to security, risk management, international politics or international relations.
6. Fluent written and verbal English and the ability to explain complex situations to non-expert audiences.
7. Advanced professional proficiency in French, Spanish, Italian, German or another language preferred.
