Location: Multiple locations on offer, Edinburgh, Halifax, Leeds, Manchester, Bristol 2 days per week on either site required

Duration: 6-month contract

Rate: £650.00 - £700.00 via umbrella

What's the mission?

Following a major strategic reset in early 2025, this team is now entering an exciting delivery phase. By mid-year, a working prototype will be in place with proven use cases. The next step? Expanding the GSRA through the creation and management of high-impact security artefacts:

1. Security designs
2. Architecture standards
3. Roadmaps
4. Patterns
5. Technology solution designs

These artefacts will become essential tools used by engineers and architects across the organisation to deliver secure solutions at pace.

Role Overview:

As a Security Artefact Manager, your core responsibility will be to create, manage, and evolve security artefacts-supporting internal customers (primarily engineers) in understanding and applying security requirements effectively.

You'll work with cross-functional security teams including product owners, engineers, and operations specialists to ensure artefacts are technically sound, consumable, and aligned with modern security practices and technologies.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

1. Proven experience producing security content and artefacts at scale.
2. Strong knowledge of enterprise security concepts, processes, and technologies.
3. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills-capable of translating complex concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
4. Systems design and architectural awareness, including the ability to work with design patterns and guardrails.
5. Experience in artefact lifecycle management, including digital documentation and cataloguing.

Desirable Extras

1. Recognised security certifications: CISSP, ISO 27001, etc.
2. Familiarity with enterprise security frameworks such as SABSA, NIST.
3. Experience in security tooling and architecture within large organisations.
4. Knowledge of automation, policy transformation, and consumability strategy.
