Security Service Engineer

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic multi-skilled Security Engineer to cover from Hertfordshire to Essex.

You will be working on large CCTV, Intruder Alarm, Fire and Access Control projects and can offer job variety; we work on very high-end stately homes, large multi-million-pound properties, historic buildings, large commercial properties and public buildings.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hour working week.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

1. Provide servicing and maintenance for a range of intruder, CCTV, fire alarm, and access control systems.
2. Demonstrate system features to clients, explaining the causes and consequences of false alarms.
3. Perform both corrective and preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems and other security solutions.
4. Understand client requirements and ensure all tasks are completed to satisfaction.
5. Maintain fire and security systems in accordance with current standards and client specifications.
6. Respond to service calls for various fire and security systems.
7. Update documentation, including site schematics and drawings when applicable.
8. Conduct annual service visits and address any incoming fault reports.
9. Log updates and detailed descriptions of completed work through SIMPRO, keeping the office informed on progress, and securing client signatures upon completion.

Our ideal candidate has:

1. Proven Experience as a multi-skilled engineer with a strong understanding of Fire (preferred) and Security Systems.
2. Ability to meet deadlines efficiently.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Previous experience in front-line customer service is preferred.
5. A full UK driving license is required.
6. Must be flexible with travel and available to participate in an on-call rota, which occurs once every 4 weeks.
