Security Service Engineer - London

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Location: London

Reporting To: Field Service Manager / UK & EMEA Service Manager


Are you an experienced Security Service Engineer looking for a new challenge? Join our team and become an essential part of maintaining and repairing state-of-the-art security systems for clients across London and beyond.


About the Role:

As a Security Service Engineer (SE), you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers’ security systems remain operational and reliable. Working as part of a skilled team, you’ll take ownership of planned maintenance and reactive fault finding on cutting-edge technology such as CCTV, IP CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and more. This role offers autonomy and variety, with the opportunity to travel and support clients across the UK and Europe when required.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintenance & Repairs:
    Perform reactive fault finding and planned preventative maintenance on:
    • CCTV (including IP CCTV)
    • Access Control Systems
    • Intruder Alarms
    • Door Entry Systems
    • Server and Workstation Hardware/Software
  2. Client Interaction:
    Deliver professional, courteous, and timely service at client premises. Provide updates on job progress and ensure issues are resolved to client satisfaction. Conduct demonstrations or discussions with clients about the work completed.
  3. On-Call Support:
    Participate in a 24/7 callout rota (1 in 3 basis) for out-of-hours reactive support. This is paid in addition to your basic salary.
  4. Documentation:
    Complete relevant service paperwork for all jobs. Notify the Service Manager (SM) or Service Administrator (SA) of any unrectified faults, return visits, or required parts.
  5. Team Collaboration:
    Provide feedback to enhance service processes. Mentor and monitor junior engineers, supporting their development.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience in maintaining and repairing security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms, etc.).
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to travel and stay away from home when required.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with the team.
  • Professional appearance and excellent communication skills.
