Security Officer, Bridgend

We are looking for a dedicated Security Officer to join our professional team and play a key role in safeguarding our operations. You will work as part of a team to ensure the highest level of security for our client, safeguarding both the premises and personnel.

• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 0600-1400, then 1400-2200 on a weekly rotation

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access points to the facility, ensuring only authorised personnel enter and exit as per protocol.
• Greet and direct visitors and contractors upon arrival, providing them with necessary instructions and ensuring compliance with security procedures.
• Verify the credentials of individuals entering the premises, including checking passes, identification cards or any other required documentation.
• Receive and inspect incoming deliveries, ensuring they are in accordance with orders and protocols and coordinate with relevant personnel for efficient handling and distribution.
• Maintain accurate records of visitor logs, deliveries and any security-related incidents or activities as per company policies and regulations.
• Perform vehicle patrols for security.
• Log patrols digitally in real-time.
• Ensure site safety and compliance.
• Inspect vehicles for safety and readiness.
• Manage entry and exit points.

Minimum Requirements:

• SIA licence (Door Supervisor/Security Guarding/Close Protection, etc.)
• Full clean UK driving licence.
• 2+ years security experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain professionalism.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Knowledge of IT.
• Experience dealing with customers and clients.
