Security Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Officer to join our team at McVities Manchester.

The purpose of the role is to provide an efficient and professional security service to Samsic UK Security’s clients as specified, demonstrating the highest levels of Customer Service; presenting at all times a smart, alert, visible and commanding security presence.

As a Security Officer you will be contracted to an average of 54 hours per week and work below shift pattern:

1. 4on 2off - day shifts (Mon-Fri - 06.00-18.30 and Sat-Sun - 06.00-18.00)

Pay Rate: £11.91 (£14.89 for any hours above 48hrs in one week)

Average Weekly Hours: 54 hours per week

Contracted Hours: 54 hours per week

Employee Status: Permanent/ Full Time

Duties will include:

1. “Meet and Greet”
2. Answer all enquiries courteously and professionally
3. Manage all systems within the security control base
4. Ensure a vigilant, professional presence
5. Produce accurate reports as and when needed
6. Be an effective liaison between the client and the company Contract Manager
7. Be an effective ambassador for Samsic UK Security and the client

Essential Requirements:

1. Excellent verbal communication skills, pleasant manner, approachable, clearly spoken
2. Excellent customer care skills
3. Have a good knowledge of Health & Safety
4. Possesses computer literacy of at least a basic level
5. Demonstrates basic numeracy and literacy skills for following instructions and preparing reports
6. Demonstrates good observation skills
7. Demonstrates a flexible attitude to changing working hours and patterns

In order to work for Samsic UK you MUST fulfil the following criteria:

1. Current SIA Licence - Door Supervisor or Security Guarding
2. Have an unrestricted right to work full time in the UK for a minimum period of 12 months
3. Be fluent in spoken and written English
4. Have a five-year checkable history (Providing a HMRC 3 Year Work History record at your interview)
