Security Guard

Job Overview:

We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Security Guard to join our team in Colchester. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, customers, and visitors by patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, and controlling access points.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol and monitor premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Control access to buildings and sites, ensuring only authorized individuals enter.
• Monitor security cameras and alarm systems, responding to incidents as required.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff when necessary.
• Report any security breaches, incidents, or hazards to management and emergency services if required.
• Conduct regular security checks and complete incident reports.
• Respond promptly to alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Enforce company policies and safety regulations to ensure a secure environment.
• Work closely with emergency services when needed.

Requirements:

• Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) License.
• Previous experience in a security role is preferred but not essential.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Physically fit and able to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Right to work in the UK.
