Our client, a leading international professional services company specializing in project management, cost management, and consulting, is hiring an Information Security Assistant to join a fast-paced IT Security team, responsible for coordinating daily security checks, monitoring, and end-user support throughout their environment. As a key member of the team, you will gain exposure to various aspects of the IT setup and play a crucial role in identifying and resolving security issues. Responsibilities:

  1. Support the IT Security team by managing and responding to security alerts from systems and end-users.
  2. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly security checks, reconciliation, and compliance assessments while investigating exceptions.
  3. Raise awareness of security risks and assist the broader IT team in addressing security queries and issues.
  4. Develop user awareness and technical training guides.
  5. Perform other relevant activities as required.
  6. Hands-on working experience in a similar role.
  7. SOX control responsibilities.
  8. Experience in report or procedure creation.
  9. Understanding of information security and/or infrastructure concepts.
  10. Familiarity with at least one information security standard such as Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, or GDPR.
  11. Awareness of Microsoft O365 Security solutions, Networking, Security operations, Vulnerability Management, and Security Auditing.
  12. Familiarity with risk reviews, technology audits, or related work.
