Secondary Teaching Assistant Worksop
Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire
Salary: £85 - £100 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistants to join schools in Worksop. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with students, providing essential support to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities of Secondary Teaching Assistant:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support, ensuring students stay engaged and on track.
  • Assist teachers in delivering dynamic and tailored lessons.
  • Support students with SEN, behavioural challenges, or additional learning needs.
  • Help maintain positive classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Encourage student participation, independence, and confidence.
  • Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and school activities.
Requirements of Secondary Teaching Assistant:
  • Experience working with secondary school-aged students (in school settings, tutoring, or youth work).
  • Understanding of SEN, Autism, ADHD, and behavioural needs is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
