Job description

Axcis are currently working alongside a fantastic Secondary School in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire who are looking for someone to support a specific student on a 1:1 basis who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and exhibits challenging behavior.

The opportunity:
  1. To become a Secondary Teaching Assistant
  2. To work 1:1 with ASD and challenging behavior
  3. £90 - £105 per day, please be aware that pay rates will depend on skills and experience
  4. Term Time Only
  5. Based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
  6. Starting ASAP until the end of the academic year - Monday-Friday 08:15am-4:00pm
  7. Fulltime and Part time available
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Attend to the pupil’s specific needs and follow all care plans in place.
  2. Ensuring the safety of the student and supporting/deescalating when necessary to do so.
  3. Providing 1:1 support inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully engage and participate in activities.
