About the Role:
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant (TA), you'll support teachers and students in delivering engaging lessons. Your role will help create a positive and inclusive environment where every student can succeed.
Key Responsibilities of a Secondary Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students across different subjects.
- Help teachers with lesson preparation, classroom management, and teaching strategies.
- Foster a positive atmosphere that boosts students' confidence and encourages learning.
- Support students with varying abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff and parents.
- Follow the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies to maintain a safe environment.
What We’re Looking for in a Secondary Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with secondary students is preferred.
- Good knowledge of the secondary school curriculum and flexibility across subjects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students and staff.
- A patient, proactive, and caring approach to supporting learners.
To work with GSL Education, you must:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
- Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
