About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Class Teacher to join our supportive and dynamic team at a specialised SEMH secondary school in Southampton. We would particularly like to hear from you if your specialism is Maths or Science. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a nurturing environment, helping students with social, emotional, and mental health needs thrive academically and personally.
As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering planned lessons to students with a range of emotional and behavioural needs. You will support students to stay engaged in their learning, manage classroom behaviour, and foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere. This role is perfect for teachers with experience or a strong interest in working with vulnerable students and making a positive impact on their lives.
You will need patience, compassion, and strong behaviour management skills as students can be placed in the school following exclusion from their mainstream provision due to challenging behaviour.
