Job description

Job Title: Secondary SEN Tutor

Location: South East England, Berkshire, Wokingham

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time hours

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:
  1. Provide tailored support and assistance to secondary school students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  2. Develop individualised learning plans based on students' specific needs and abilities
  3. Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons to help students achieve their academic goals
  4. Monitor and assess students' progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  5. Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development
Required Qualifications:
  1. Experience working with students with SEN
  2. Knowledge of SEN support strategies and best practices
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching or tutoring students with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:
  1. Understanding of SEN Code of Practice and relevant legislation
  2. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs
  3. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
  2. Experience working in a secondary school setting
Working Conditions:

Part-Time hours, temporary position
Work primarily in a secondary school environment
Potential travel within the Wokingham area

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
