SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant, with a passion for supporting secondary students in Schools within the Bury area? We have the perfect opportunity for you. Teaching Personnel has current opportunities available for a Secondary Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a difference to young people’s lives by delivering high-quality education.

Requirements

  • Relevant work experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, particularly with Secondary age pupils.
  • Strong empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping students develop and succeed.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team, adapting to meet the unique needs of every student.

The Role

  • Provide specialised support through targeted assistance with SEN, adapting learning materials and strategies to meet their individual needs.
  • Track and monitor the progress of students, offering feedback to teachers, to ensure they are reaching key development milestones.
  • Create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment, offering emotional support and guidance for students.
  • Develop strong lines of communication with teachers, parents, and professionals involved in each student's education, ensuring a holistic approach to their development.
