Secondary Science Teacher

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Science teacher to work in a secondary school in Powys.

Acting as a work-finding service, we provide supply cover to a range of Primary, Secondary and SEND Schools; from small village schools to large secondary schools. For this specific role, we are looking for a committed and passionate Science teacher that can get the best out of their students.

Prospero Teaching works with both newly qualified teachers (NQT/ECT) and fully qualified/experienced teachers.

We are looking for teachers that have a good understanding of SEN/SEND children and use differentiation imperatively throughout lessons to ensure every child gets the best education they can.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location - Brecon, Powys
• Position - Science Teacher
• Type of work - Teacher of all Science subjects at GCSE level.
• Start date - 04/09/2023
• Duration / Likely Duration - 1 year
• End date (if applicable) - N/A
• Contract type - Temporary
• Full time/part time - Full time position
• Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate 151.81 per day
• Hours - 8:30 am - 15:30 pm (full day)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a UK school
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references that cover the last two years
