About The Role

As a Trainee Classroom Cover Teacher, you’ll step confidently into the classroom and lead lessons for up to 30 students in the absence of their usual teacher. Don’t worry—you don’t need to be a subject specialist! Lesson plans are always provided in advance.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include

1. Supervising and facilitating the learning of pre-planned lessons.
2. Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a safe, positive learning environment.
3. Taking accurate attendance registers.
4. Providing a handover for the class teacher.

This role is ideal for those looking to gain hands-on experience in schools before applying for Initial Teacher Training (ITT).

If you’re new to classroom supervision, we’ve got you covered! Our Trainee Classroom Cover Teacher Training Programme will equip you with the skills and confidence you need to succeed.
