Position Overview:
As a Secondary English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will engage students with a diverse curriculum, encouraging critical thinking and a passion for literature and language.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English lessons that meet the needs of all students.
2. Assess, record, and report on students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
3. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
4. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the English curriculum.
5. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices.
6. Support students in their personal and academic growth, including providing pastoral care.
7. Stay up-to-date with developments in the education sector and implement best practices in teaching.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
2. A degree in English or a related field.
3. Previous experience teaching English at a secondary level is preferred but not essential.
4. Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
