Qualifications

  • Experience in grounds maintenance and operating mowers and other equipment.
  • Must have a full UK driving licence and be physically fit.

Responsibilities

  • Perform grass cutting, hedge pruning, and flower bed maintenance.
  • Maintain open spaces for local housing associations.

Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operative
Location: Edinburgh
Hourly Rate: £12.50
Contract type: Full time, 7 months fixed-term contract
Working hours: 07:30-16:00 Monday to Friday



About the role


We currently require a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team in Edinburgh to support over the busy spring and summer seasons. Responsibilities will include grass cutting, strimming, hedge pruning, flower bed maintenance, spraying, and more, to keep several local housing association open spaces in a wonderful condition for our client. It's a great opportunity to develop your leadership skills, gain valuable experience, and grow with us in a friendly and encouraging environment.


Requirements



  • Can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset.

  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

  • Previous Grounds Maintenance experience is required, as well as pedestrian and ride-on mower experience and experience using other grounds maintenance equipment such as leaf blowers and strimmers.

  • A full valid UK driving licence is essential and trailer towing experience an advantage.

  • PA1 and PA6 licences are an advantage, but not essential.
