Job description

Santander Consumer Finance UK (SCUK) is based in Redhill, Surrey and provides motor finance to a network of dealerships throughout the UK. We are currently looking for enthusiastic Data Administrator’s to join our team on a part time basis, working a minimum of 16 hours per week across Saturday 09:00-17:00, Sunday 10:00-16:00 and at least one evening across Monday – Friday from 17:00-20:00. Dependant on your contractual hours, you will be required to work at the SCUK office up to 3 days per week.

In this role you will be working through customer commission queries received through Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR’s) and customer complaints. You will keep to high quality standards and liaise with our legal representatives to ensure all regulatory and legal responsibilities are met.

  • This is a Fixed Term role lasting 6 months, and both interviews and training will be completed onsite.
  • All applicants are also required to complete our mandatory vetting checks.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Responding to customer commission queries in writing.
  • Investigating, logging, resolving and responding to customers/claims management company queries surrounding Credit Files, Complaints & DSAR’s within a set time frame.
  • Following company policy, adhering to service levels and any current legislation.
  • Liaising with other areas of SCUK, including our internal/external legal teams to ensure complex customer queries are satisfactorily responded to.
  • Ensuring all customer data is accurately recorded, factual and in line with GDPR.
  • Dealing with or escalating risks in relation to SCUK risk policies and/or legislative & regulatory guidelines in accordance with the San UK group risk framework.
  • Ensure all relevant legislation and regulation is followed.
  • Any other ad hoc and reasonable requests from the management team.
We’re looking for someone with:
  • Previous administrative experience.
  • Their own initiative to investigate and resolve complex customer queries.
  • Attention to detail.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written communication skills, as well as strong numeracy skills.
  • A positive, enthusiastic approach as well as excellent interpersonal skills.

  • £14.50 per hour (equivalent to a Full Time Equivalent of roughly £27,000 per annum).
