Scrum Master/ Senior Business Analyst - AVP

Role Description:

The data quality platform engineering team is seeking a dynamic Scrum Master/Business Analyst to spearhead the development of a next generation data quality validation framework for our global data warehouse platform. This dual role position combines the essential functions of a traditional Scrum Master with those of a Business Analyst, making it integral to our agile transformation and business strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coaching agile scrum processes across the department, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Schedules and manages all Scrum ceremonies related to the assigned product.
• Leads Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospective.
• Prepares, plans, and documents stakeholder’s sprint capacity and availability.
• Schedules and directs backlog grooming sessions to ensure proper backlog prioritization by the Product Owner before the Sprint Planning ceremony.
• Creates and closes sprint cycles on a biweekly basis, ensuring all issues refined and estimated by the Product Owner are addressed.
• Coaches team members on how to correctly write Epics, User Stories, and Bugs.
• Acts as advisor or coach to new or lower-level employees; allocates work.
• Helps to establish Agile Scrum process in the team and educates team members.
• Provides sprint-end report to upper management.
• Documents product progress in Confluence.

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience within an agile environment as a Business Analyst or Scrum Master.
• Certified Scrum Master certification (CSM) is a big plus.
• Experience with Atlassian tools stack (JIRA/Confluence).
• Experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle.
• Proven diplomatic and analytical skills, strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to manage complex issues with substantial potential impact.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis.
• Self-driven, enthusiastic, quick learner, and have a problem-solving attitude.
