  • Base salary range: $129,497 – $137,029 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.
About The Area

UWA is making significant investments in the Information and Technology Services to enable its strategic direction and goals. UWA is also looking to utilise technology advancements to expand its services and create new and innovative teaching and research models.

The function of the Strategy and Architecture unit is to own and align strategy, architecture and programs as well as projects management across the University.

The Portfolio team provides frameworks, processes, and practices for ensuring the effective delivery of projects under different delivery models including waterfall and new ways of working (agile) practices to meet the outcomes sponsored by University stakeholders.

About The Opportunity
  • Facilitate the adoption and implementation of Scrum practices and ensure alignment with UWA's strategies.
  • Coach teams, manage timelines, and foster a collaborative and agile work environment.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop, coordinate and implement new services and solutions.
About You
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency.
  • Certification in Scrum (e.g., CSM, PSM) or Agile project management, with the ability to adapt Scrum practices to suit the unique needs of higher education IT projects.
  • Extensive and proven expertise in Scrum, Agile, and Kanban methodologies, with experience delivering technology projects in complex environments.
  • Demonstrated success in leading technology projects from inception to completion within time and resource constraints.
  • Proficiency in Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps) for project tracking and reporting, and advantageous to have experience in PPM tooling and Prince2 and Prince2 Agile certifications.
