Hartlepool Borough Council are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated health visitor; applicants must hold or be working towards a specialist community public health nurse (SCPHN) qualification in Health Visiting.
As a SCPHN health visitor you will lead and develop a family-centered public health approach, working with individuals, families, and communities to improve health and tackle inequalities.
You will be committed to delivering evidence-based practice, maintaining current knowledge of local and national issues that impact on the 0-5 population. As a specialist practitioner, you will be required to professionally contribute to the ongoing development of the health visiting offer within the Early Help Locality Teams.
You would be supported to fulfill your role through induction, training, shadowing, and a preceptorship package tailored to your individual needs.

To work as part of an integrated locality 0-19 Early Help team providing an effective high-quality service to the local 0-5 population and their families.
To effectively manage an allocated caseload with support from the integrated locality team, which will promote the health and wellbeing of the 0-5 population, so they may be enabled to reach their full potential and not be disadvantaged through ill health or disability.
To use evidence-based practice to plan, deliver, and evaluate public health interventions in a variety of settings.
