Supply Chain Management and Customs Specialist

We are recruiting for a Supply Chain Management and Customs Specialist to join our Tamworth based client.

Reporting to the SCM Team Manager, your role will include:

  1. Working with the Supply Chain Management team and managing Customs and Customs analysis.
  2. Assisting with Transportation requirements and various other key roles to ensure the smooth running of warehouse processes.

As a SCM and Customs Specialist, you will need to have/be:

  1. Excellent communication and coordination skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  2. IT literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office packages.
  3. Data analysis and reporting skills.
  4. Experience in warehouse logistics IT system handling.
  5. Understanding of Supply Chain Principles.
  6. Strong organization and time management skills.
  7. A hands-on approach with self-starting ability and proactive nature.
  8. Ability to work as part of a team.

Details:

Salary: £31,000 - £32,000 + £1,610 lunch allowance (in addition to basic salary)

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm

Location: Tamworth

Duration: Permanent

Role of SCM and Customs Specialist:

  1. Analysis of Customs costs incurred, focusing on identifying any duty and tax savings.
  2. Customs compliance checking.
  3. Follow up on HMRC communication and update the customs related regulations.
  4. Regular customs process review and improvement.
  5. Coordination with customs agent.
  6. Day-to-day customs clearance follow up.
  7. Working closely with Logistics Finance to support in the reconciliation and processing of invoices.
  8. Tracking and reporting of all Logistics related costs to the Senior Management Team.
  9. Inbound Container Scheduling.
  10. Supporting Warehouse Team with preparing all dispatch paperwork.
  11. Arranging transport for warehouse orders requiring dispatch.
  12. Involvement in ad-hoc business projects requiring input from the Logistics Team.
