This is an opportunity to join our Scientific and Clinical Training and Education Team to guide NHSBT employees on their learning journey as they undertake professional science qualifications. You will also support masters students on the MSc in Applied Transfusion and Transplantation Science, and NHS Scientists and Doctors who attend our courses.
You will work across all our directorates, staff groups and levels to implement the People Strategy, promoting a lifelong learning culture that encourages organisational success through Continuing Professional and Personal Development of staff at all levels. You will support the Scientific and Clinical Training and Education management team to embed People strategy, policy, and procedure across the organisation. You will work as a subject expert in the scientific field, ensuring professional competence is maintained accordingly. You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice. You will design, develop and deliver Scientific Continuing Professional and Personal Development activities to NHSBT & NHS and other external customers. You will implement and maintain high quality development programmes and initiatives that meet external education and training standards and modernised approaches. You will produce engaging education, training and development activities that are conducive to learning. You will support a case load of learners and operational managers and give expert education, training and development advice/guidance in respect of professional career frameworks and core competencies, primarily for the IBMS qualifications. You will represent NHSBT locally/regionally on relevant meetings as required and work effectively with partners & customers.
