Job Title: Science Teacher for Secondary School

Location: Fareham, Hampshire
Salary: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience)
Start: After Easter 2025 or September 2025
Contract: Full-time (Permanent/Fixed Term), Part-time available for the right candidate

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity? GSL Education are seeking a passionate Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary mainstream school in Fareham. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and engage students in the world of Science, fostering a love for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

As a Science Teacher, your role will involve delivering dynamic and stimulating lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, making Science engaging and accessible. Through hands-on experiments, real-world connections, and a passion for the subject, you will inspire curiosity and a love for learning in your students.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Monitor student progress, assess work, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the Science curriculum.
  • Uphold school policies, including safeguarding, behaviour management, and health & safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) qualification.
  • Overseas-trained teachers with relevant teaching experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Experienced Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Cover Supervisors (CS) looking to transition into teaching will also be considered.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for delivering engaging Science lessons.
  • Ability to foster a supportive and dynamic learning environment.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
