Science Teacher - Mainstream Secondary School (Croydon)
Location: Croydon, London
Salary: MPS/UPS (Dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier if available)


Are you a passionate and dynamic Science Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are working with a high-achieving mainstream secondary school in Croydon that is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join their team.


The Role:

As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach KS5 if desired. You will play a key role in fostering a love for Science, encouraging curiosity, and helping students reach their full academic potential.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons tailored to a diverse range of learners.
  2. Assess, monitor, and support student progress in line with curriculum expectations.
  3. Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
  4. Work collaboratively within the Science department to share best practices and develop the curriculum.
  5. Contribute to extracurricular activities and wider school initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate:

  1. Holds UK QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification).
  2. Has experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school setting.
  3. Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
  4. Is committed to raising attainment and fostering a positive learning experience for students.
  5. Has strong classroom management skills and a proactive approach to teaching.
