We are seeking a full-time Lecturer in Science, specialising in Biology, Chemistry or Physics, to join our successful team based in Hillingdon. You would teach on a range of courses including A level, BTEC Science, GCSE, Access to HE, A Level and T Levels.

Qualifications

1. A degree in a Science subject
2. Minimum Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (e.g. PGCE/DET)

Knowledge and Experience

1. Experience of teaching Science up to and including Level 3 (A Level and/or BTEC), specialising in Biology, Chemistry or Physics
2. Good communication skills, written and verbal
3. Track record of success in teaching and student achievement
4. Good interpersonal skills
5. Good classroom practice
6. Experience of course leadership
7. Ability to use IT / e-learning within the curriculum and deliver teaching, learning and assessment online
8. Good administration/organisational skills
9. Experience of pastoral tutor role
10. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
11. Commitment to continuing professional development
12. Understanding of the importance of Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding in education
13. Self-motivation
14. Understanding of, and ability to demonstrate, strategies to engage and inspire young learners
15. Commitment to learners and learner achievement
