Job description

SCIB Executive Director, Structuring

Country: United Kingdom

Business area introduction

The Structuring Executive Director supports private side RSG sales globally with value-added products, analytics, and solutions for the SCIB client base.

This role is responsible for developing the corporate/financial sponsor Structuring franchise, with clear accountability for product development, idea generation, product delivery, and execution. The focus is on clients' balance sheet financial risks and investments, proposing solutions using quantitative tools and advanced analytics. The role involves building coherent investments and risk analysis covering markets, portfolios, products, and accounting.

The Executive Director will engage actively with other specialist teams, such as DCM Solutions and ACPM, to produce joint solutions proposals and work on value-added transactions for recourse and non-recourse financing (including deal contingent hedging). Special emphasis is placed on FX transactions. Collaboration with market-related teams, including Trading, Risk, Quants, Legal, Operations, and Middle Office, is essential to ensure clients' needs are met in terms of products, valuations, pricing, and tools.

Key activities

  • Contribute to the overall budget and individual geography budget, with specific accountability for the non-flow credit product line.
  • Drive and continuously develop the product framework.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and legislative/regulatory guidelines.
  • Work alongside the RSG Sales teams to create a product pipeline and improve the quality of the client franchise.
  • Collaborate successfully across global Structuring teams (London & Madrid-based) to ensure proper delivery of the product.
  • Engage with client origination and product teams (Fixed Income Solutions, FIG, DCM Solutions, DCM, Corporate Sales) to have a holistic view of client situations, product offerings, and model assumptions.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience and demonstrated success in a similar position at a suitable level.
  • Robust quantitative background with proven track record in rates and FX.
  • Experience in deal contingent hedging is a significant advantage, though not an absolute requirement.
  • Advanced knowledge of rates and credit derivatives (modelling and risk management).
  • Payout modelling and advanced execution skills (structured products/derivatives).
  • Regulatory knowledge and legal expertise (ISDAs & CSAs).
  • Ability to operate within the agreed risk framework and ensure effective adherence to internal policies and legislative/regulatory guidelines.
  • Advanced communication skills and ability to work successfully in a team environment.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Proficiency in other languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, or Italian desirable.
