Job description

A local specialist school just outside Horsham is now looking for a therapeutic Allied Health Professional (Occupational Therapist / Speech and Language Therapist / Physiotherapist) to join the team.

This school is dedicated to offering a specially-tailored, bright and fun learning environment for children and young people (aged 3-19 years old) with a broad range of needs – including neuro-motor, medical, sensory and SLCN – to thrive in their academic, physical and social-emotional skill development.

Through an adapted, structured curriculum and tandem therapeutic support, the school encourages its pupils to build on their creativity, confidence, and breadth of knowledge in a focused and inclusive manner.

You’ll join a strong trans-disciplinary team that comes together to deliver personalised therapies, provide intensive support, and foster a safe atmosphere for pupils across a diverse range of presentations to challenge themselves and succeed.

In doing so, you will help pupils to feel valued, to feel more confident in themselves, and to experience greater and greater independence as they grow.

This is a permanent, full-time (37.5h) role for an Allied Health Professional (OT / SLT / PT), term-time only.

Person specification:
  • (Essential) HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist or Speech and Language Therapist or Physiotherapist
  • (Essential) Some professional experience delivering therapies for children and young people
  • (Desirable) Professional experience delivering therapies for children and young people with SEN, ideally including a neurological condition such as cerebral palsy
  • (Desirable) Professional experience within a school setting
