School Liaison Officer – Project Guardian (Transport for London)

Salary: £24,457 - £28,236 per annum
Smart Teachers is recruiting a dynamic and engaging School Liaison Officer on behalf of Transport for London (TfL) to support the delivery of Project Guardian sessions in secondary schools across London.
This unique role focuses on raising awareness of sexual harassment on the transport network among Year 9 students, helping to empower young people with the tools to recognise, respond to, and report inappropriate behaviour.
The Role
- Deliver informative, hour-long sessions to Year 9 students in schools across London
- Sessions focus on:
- Defining sexual harassment and related offences
- Exploring real-life examples (CCTV footage and collected stories)
- Voluntary/involuntary responses
- Safe bystander intervention strategies
- Reporting mechanisms and societal impact
Travel with presentation equipment to schools (travel costs reimbursed)Up to 5 sessions per day depending on cohort sizesContact and liaise with secondary schools when not presenting5 days per week, full-time temporary contractWe’re Looking For Someone Who Is
- Confident presenting to large groups of secondary-aged students (up to 60 per session)
- Comfortable delivering serious content in an informal, engaging way
- Highly organised and self-motivated – you’ll work independently across multiple schools
- Passionate about safeguarding, social responsibility, and youth empowerment
- Teaching, presenting, or PSHE delivery experience is highly desirable
- A background in pastoral, inclusion or behaviour support is a plus
